SILC Alumni Member (former SILC Postdoc Member, Northwestern University, Department of Psychology, David H. Uttal Lab) and member of our Spatial Network. Formerly known as Erin Wilkerson.

Currently, Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, Penn State York.

Dr. Jant is a developmental psychologist interested in the cognitive and social foundations of young children’s learning and remembering.  Her current area of research explores ways that parents and educators can encourage children’s understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) concepts in museums and classrooms.  Additionally, she examines how the use of geographic information systems in project-based curricula can promote high school students’ spatial thinking and problem solving.

Dr. Jant received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2011. After completing her Ph.D., she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University working with Dr. David Uttal.
